Hills United FC sinks Klirdap FC by 2:1 goals

DIPHU, Mar 12: The Greenfield Karbi Anglong League 2023 organised by Greenfield Soccer Group in collaboration with Hills United FC and Karbi Anglong Sports Association was kicked off today in Diphu today.

The tournament is hosted in loving memory of Lt. Sunaram Terang and Lt. Gandhiram Timung. Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council EM Amarsing Tisso graced the inauguration programme as chief guest and EM Ritesh Inghi as guest of honour. They were accompanied by MAC Johny Timung and ex-MAC Ramsing Timung, GREEFIELD chairman Deepak Asangbam and general secretary Sanahan Singha among others.

The first match of the league was played between HUFC and Klirdap FC. Both the club were similar on skills and discipline as the first goal of the match came at the added time from HUFC player Lavis Marak in the 46th minute.

The second lead goal for HUFC came in the 41st minute through Ringham Jigdung. Klirdap FC however could not only manage to reduce the margin with the only goal just two minutes before the final whistle was blown in the 87th minute through Sarkiri Teron.

Two matches will be held on Monday when KAMSFC will face Singhason FC at 1 pm and the second match to be played between ST 11 and RYSC at 3 pm.
